Funny farm

Today was a full day. We have placed our home on the market and three realtors came by this afternoon. Our sudden decision came after we found another home on 2 acres (complete with cows!) that Ray and I got pretty excited about. This home is larger than our current one and although the land is pretty much untouched, we see it as a blank canvas. So, we made an offer and now we are scrambling to get our current home sold. In order to buy the other house, we need to sell this one in 45 days and pray that no other offers come in.

We are very excited by the realtor visits as we weren't sure what the market would be like. But since we made the offer on Wednesday, you can say there was much prep work to be done on our current home which was then listed on Thursday. Then there's the paperwork, the painting (one bathroom needs some love), and our attempts to make the yard look good.

In all of this chaos, Ray has been having to work double shifts so it has been Dylan and I doing the majority of the work. Dylan is such a trooper and I couldn't help but snap this picture. He was watching me trim the ivy from the house and was fascinated.

We have two more realtors coming tomorrow and we'll certainly keep you informed if we are giving up our city life for the funny farm. What shall we name the cows, Dylan?
