Lions, Tigers, and Bears...oh my!

Dylan had a GREAT time at the Woodland Park Zoo today. It was certainly a day of many firsts...first bus trip, first time seeing so many animals....

There were approximately 50 people who attended the Zoo trip today from Down syndrome Outreach. There was wide age range of folks who attended. From very small twin infants (it was very nice to meet you Bianca, your babies are beautiful) to adults of varying age. Everyone sincerely enjoyed the trip.

Dylan and Mommy toured the zoo with our buddies Tracey, Will, and Taylor. It was alot of fun and in particular, Will, had an outstanding time. We had a hard time catching up with a very excited Will sometimes and we were thankful to Taylor (and his youthful legs) who was helpful in keeping track of his buddy while this pregnant woman caught up! Tracey was a great travel companion and was very helpful with Dylan (in particular, when Mommy had to use the restroom which admittedly was quite often). Thanks again Tracey. I appreciated your help. We had a wonderful time with the three of you today!

Thank you to Down syndrome Outreach for putting together a wonderful trip for so many Whatcom (and a few Skagit) county residents. In particular, thank you to Jim and Sarah who put alot of time and effort to make this happen. Dylan would also like to thank Hesselgrave Bus Tours for his very first bus trip. How exciting!
