Boy! Have I had a busy weekend. Daddy started his week of vacation so he has been helping Mommy and I around the house. We started by spraying for bees! Yikes! Did we find alot of bee hives. Then I helped Daddy run the riding lawn mower, helped Mommy put in a flower garden bed, and even went on a trip to see Crazy Grandma! We were running errands so we stopped by to say hello and she got to see me do my commando crawl for the first time. Of couse, I went straight for the electrical cords! Watch out Grandma! When I come over, I'm really going to keep you busy now!
Mommy also caught a cold and I feel bad for her. She is coughing and even sounds funny when she talks! Hopefully, she'll be feeling better soon and will be up to her normal self. I always giggle when she tries to get me to practice my sounds because she does sound so funny. We are working on saying "oooo" and "aaaah". I am getting pretty good at making my lips form and "O". As a bonus in our speech therapy practice, I am also copying her when she coughs.
We also got some very good news this weekend! I'm going to meet some of the Mariners! Yep, you read that right. Mommy helped put together a Children's Hospital Golf Marathon and they asked if she could come down to a brunch and Mariner game to represent families for another fundraising event. Unfortunately, Mommy can't make it because she is helping give a bridal shower that same day but Daddy, Grandpa, Grandma, and I are going instead! We got the invitation yesterday and that is how we found out I'm going to meet some of my very FAVORITE players: Edgar Martinez, Dan Wilson, John Olerud and even the Mariner Moose! I'm a big fan of the Moose!....Mommy is pretty mad (she is a really, really big Mariner fan) that she can't go and has told Daddy that if he doesn't get my picture with these players, not to bother coming home. Sounds serious!
Anyway, that is how my weekend is shaping up. Mommy and I are hanging out today while Daddy goes on a motorcycle ride with some of his buddies from work. She and I are putting in flowers in the new flower bed I watched her (and Daddy) dig up yesterday. Tomorrow, I get to go to school with Daddy (Mommy can't go because of her cold). Hope you all had a good weekend!
