Quiet Day at Home

Mommy, Daddy, and I just stayed at home today to have some quiet time. We all slept in until 8am (I was very kind) and then took it easy. We were a little shocked when Harriet, my speech therapist, came to visit. Mommy had thought it was tomorrow but that was okay. We were up and dressed. Just spending some alone time with eachother.

Harriet worked with us on my feeding. I'm not using my upper lip as well as I should be to scoop things off a spoon. Instead, I just lunge forward to put the whole spoon in my mouth and then bite off it's contents. So we tried having the spoon being presented to me sideways. I'm also going to start working on drinking from a straw. Right now, I don't get it but Mommy is going to work with me. Mommy will tell you that this kind of therapy can be VERY messy. Harriet was very impressed with all the different kinds of foods and solids I am eating now so we know there has been very good progress!

I also impressed Harriet today by showing her that I can point to my ears and my "big belly." Then I shocked her with my wonderful rendition of the "itsy, bitsy spider." I got a little distracted and forgot the "sun" part but that was okay. Hooray for ME!

Daddy went to work after therapy and I took a long nap. Then Mommy and I had some fun playing and telling stories. Mommy told me about the Mariner game which they won and I told her all about my dreams. Overall, we just cuddled and hung out. She wasn't feeling too hot (maybe the baby is coming?) so I was an extra good boy for her. But she wants everyone to know, that no...it is not labor, yet. Hopefully soon.

Off to bed. Maybe I gotta save up my energy for when my brother or sister comes. Have a good night.
