IT'S COLD!!!

BRR!!! It's cold outside. Temperatures have been in the teens today and tonight it is in the SINGLE DIGITS! That doesn't even include the wind chill which Mommy says she doesn't even want to know. Whatever the wind chill...we're cold!

Today was very sunny outside so we haven't had anymore snow accummulations but now we are dealing with very strong winds. It has made getting out of our very long driveway a huge task. See the wind is blowing all the snow from the fields right onto our driveway. That means we've had snow drifts up to 5 ft tall. Our neighbor was very, very kind to use his tractor to clear the drive for us but the wind keeps blowing it right back. In fact, just look at the picture of the little tree just outside my window!

Unfortunately, it was so cold, that Mommy wouldn't let us go outside to play in the snow. She says the wind will have to stop first before she lets us go out to play. Tomorrow is supposed to be better so we might venture out then and we are also going to see more snow tomorrow night! Can you believe it? Like 16 inches wasn't enough! But I'm hoping that when it does snow, Mommy will take me outside so we can try to catch a snowflake with our tongue. We did have to do some last minute weather proofing such as getting the heat lamp going in the pump house so our water source doesn't freeze. We also put covers on all the waterspouts outside and have the water dripping from all the faucets tonight to make sure the pipes don't freeze.

I'm going to go bundle up now. Hot cider is sounding very good!
