A Kind Moment

Mommy is putting together the Spring Fling (a big picnic) for our Down syndrome Outreach which is taking place next weekend. Part of the organizing includes getting door prizes and goodie bags for those that attend.

Today, Mommy went to Starbucks to see if they would donate some gift cards as part of the door prizes. Mommy patiently waited in line with me and Jonah. While we were waiting, a very nice gentleman in line behind us was playing peek-a-boo with me and loved all the signs that I showed him. When it got to be our turn at the counter, Mommy asked for the manager to discuss the donation. The manager was not in but the lady behind the counter wanted to know what I needed so she could relay the message. When Mommy told her about needing some gift cards, the gentleman that had been playing with me quickly pulled out his wallet and paid for them.

That was probably the best Mother's Day present Mommy could have gotten.
