First Camping Trip and Updates

Monday is a big day for Jonah and I. We are going on our very first camping trip. Us Gillig's are heading to Canada to join some friends of ours for a couple of days to enjoy the wilderness, breathe the fresh air, roast marshmellows on the campfire, and maybe get in a few hikes. We are very excited and it is the official beginning of Daddy's two week vacation.

We will only be gone Monday and Tuesday but Mommy thinks that is a great start. She can't wait to see how us kiddos do so she can start planning longer trips. Here is a little known fact about Mommy...she loves camping. She grew up in a tent-trailer for 1/2 of her childhood. Really! Every summer, Mommy's family would pack up and literally live in a tent-trailer camping up in the Cascades all summer long. She is quite fluent in the art of camping and has always loved it. She's excited to share this experience with Jonah and I.

It will be a nice get-away since we have been so busy. Mommy and Daddy are in a wedding this week for Daddy's very, very best friend. Uncle Don and Auntie Jen are getting married on Saturday and this weekend started the festivities. In fact, Mommy and us kiddos went to Seattle this weekend so Daddy could hold the bachelor party at our house. Yep. We left Daddy alone with 10 other guys who invaded our house. They had fun and even cleaned up after themselves!

Mommy also is planning on going into work on Wednesday for DsO and then she has a couple of concerts for the local universities musical. She is playing in the 'King and I' which is pretty neat. She hadn't played that musical before so it will be nice to finally be a part of it.

Then Friday is the Wedding Rehearsal...and Saturday the WEDDING! Hooray! It's a big week and we are so very excited for our friends.

So now we are off to pack, finish laundry, grab the camping gear, get some ice...
