Not A Good Day for Mommy

Mommy isn't having a good day. It actually started yesterday when we all came down with horrible colds. Mommy is also getting ready for a really big concert next weekend and while practicing her oboe, she accidentally dropped it which means it now has to go in for repairs. Then on the way to Starbucks and the oboe repair shop, the car broke down. Mommy was able to limp the car home before it really died but she was denied her Gingerbread Latte. Then, while trying to empty the car for the mechanic, I locked Mommy out of the house...in the pouring rain. That takes some serious fine motor skills to turn that little knob on the door handle but Mommy didn't seem to pleased with the timing of my progress. Fortunately she got back in without having to break a window.

All of this has put Mommy in a pretty bad mood. She's thinking the car needs a new fuel injector (the mechanic thought so too by the way Mommy described things or he said it could also be a fuel line) which will be a pretty penny. The oboe still isn't in the shop to get fixed and when it does, that's gonna cost some too. The tow truck is going to be $60.00. Mommy has decided she's making chocolate chip cookies.

She's not sharing.

CAR UPDATE: The car was towed to a repair shop where they discovered it was 2 of the 4 ignition coils. They will have to replace all 4 coils and spark plugs but then the car will be running again. It won't be cheap but it isn't as bad as Mommy thought it would be. Good news is that we will have our car back maybe as early as tomorrow or Monday. Phew.

Oh Kristy, As they say "when it rains it pours" and then Dylan put the icing on the cake and locks you out in the rain. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get your car back before Monday.
Hugs to you,
Carolyn in WV

Oh jeez. I'm impressed with how you manage to write a bad day so wittily, K. But what else can you do? Call me if you need any help with transportation this weekend. Hugs to you all.
