A Super Quick Update

We have been extra busy the past few days! Monday was the golf classic that Mommy helped out with. On Monday, Mommy also took me to the doctor and then to a Parent to Parent night that featured Down syndrome Outreach.

At my doctor's visit, Mommy and the doctor talked about my breathing episodes. I have now had three episodes where I stop breathing. The pediatrician is calling Children's Hospital to talk to my cardiologist to see what they would like to do. The theory is that during these episodes, my heart starts to beat very, very fast. Because it is beating so fast, it actually stops the blood flow which then inhibits my lungs to properly work. We will probably have testing to see if this is the case but for now, Mommy is keeping a watchful eye on me. She is having a hard time sleeping because Daddy is working night shifts and she is worried that I'll suffer one of these episodes while I'm sleeping and she'll miss it. Hopefully, we'll hear back from Children's soon so we can get some answers...and some rest.

Tuesday, I went to play with some friends while Mommy had a rehearsal. She is helping a friend out with a musical for a couple of nights and wanted to sit in on a rehearsal because she hadn't played this one before.

Then on Wednesday, we played with a sleepless Daddy while Mommy had meetings all day for Down syndrome Outreach and then caught up on lots of work. Mommy is the new Coordinator for Down syndrome Outreach. Her friend, S, is having to leave the position because her family is moving away. Mommy is very, very sad to see them go. S and her family are absolutely amazing and good friends. Thankfully, they are moving to an area close to Auntie Kelly so Mommy can go visit them. But can you please keep S and her family in your prayers as they try to sell their house and get settled into their new community. Thank you.

That's our super quick update. Gotta go...there's a chair I need to climb on.

Kristy-
It was SO good to see you Monday night. DSO offers us great information and of course the much needed emotional support.
I hope all the tests for Dylan's breathing identify what is wrong. I know how those nights go with sleeping with one eye open (or is the saying one ear open). Take care and get those little cat naps when you can. Jonah and Dylan were sooooo cute on Monday. Your family is an inspiration to ours. Liam now has a cold/cough so I think our visit is once again postponed. But I look forward to seeing you someday again soon. -Sandi
