We're Still Here

We're still here. We've just been very busy...actually, Mommy has. Jonah and I are still getting over our colds and were kind enough to share with Mommy. She has also been very busy with concerts. Yesterday, she had 3 concerts and an opera rehearsal. Phew. She coughed through all of them too. Hopefully, she kept her coughs in time with the music!

Our plan for today is to bake lots of Christmas cookies, muffins, and candies. We are also going to just hang out at home today. We're all very tired and Mommy is hoping a quiet day at home will help us get over these colds. Hopefully, this is the last cold for a while. It's been non-stop since October.

But we do have some updates! Jonah has gotten 3 new teeth in two weeks with more on the way. All those teeth that have been threatening to come through for the last month are finally starting to arrive.

I also have a new therapist who's going to be calling. It's a behavioral specialist who is going to help me get over my anger management issues. When I get upset with anyone, I am starting to hit and scratch...even my other therapists. So Mommy called in some extra help.

Mommy also is looking into auditing an ASL class. I have learned so many words that she can't keep up and she is hoping that if I can communicate more efficiently, that it will help relieve some of my frustrations. Since I don't have hearing loss, only a speech disorder diagnosis, I do not qualify for private ASL tutoring. So Mommy is hoping to take that role on. My teacher is also coming over this week to help Mommy set up a plan with my sign language skills. To prepare, Mommy looked up all the words in a packet she has been given (MacArthur Inventory Signs) which is all the signs a typical 3 year-old knows. I have mastered almost all of them and know even more that aren't even on that list! I'm pretty amazing.
