Today was the Whatcom County Down syndrome Outreach Buddy Walk! Can I just tell you right now, that we had a blast!!!! Aside from the fact that this walk is to help raise awareness for Down syndrome, we made some great friends, saw old friends, and had a great time with all of them. There was face painting (Jonah and I both got our faces painted), there was pumpkin painting, we had a caricature artist there, the Bellingham High School Band played for us, some great speakers like our friend Steve J., and a whole lot more. There was a balloon artist, the "Pretzel Man" from Aunties Pretzels, the Country Buffet "Bee" was there....and we won a super, duper cool door prize! It is an authentic Mariner wagon that I love to ride in.
We can't wait to show you pictures although Mommy is still sorting through them....she took 175 pictures. Do you think she got enough? We promise to post some soon. I'm sure we can find at least a few to show you.
Thank you to Mommy's friend, Matt, for bringing his band to play for us! It meant SO much to our family and the Buddy Walk crowd loved, loved, loved having you there. We'll see you on Wednesday at your rehearsal to thank them in person.
Also, a HUGE thank you to Mommy's friend, S, who put the Buddy Walk together. And such a great turn out...over 400 people! What an accomplishment and you deserve a break! You are amazing!
Thanks also to Sandy and Mark...the pumpkins were a huge hit with the kiddos. You'll love the pictures Mommy took.
We can't wait to show you the pictures. Hurry up, Mommy! People want to see these!
