Medical Update and Big Plans

Mommy called my pediatrician first thing this morning to talk about what happened on Saturday. She explained to the on-call nurse how I spontaneously stopped breathing for a minute and that Mommy is very confident it was not because I had choked on anything. The nurse explained that our pedicatrician was on vacation but a doctor would call us right back. So Mommy waited, and waited, and waited until 5 pm when she finally called the pediatricians office again. She then spoke with another nurse, explained again how I had stopped breathing on Saturday and this time, the nurse wanted us to come in. So Mommy scheduled an appointment.

Then a few minutes later, the nurse called Mommy. After reviewing Dylan's chart, it was decided that we really need to call Children's Hospital and talk with our cardiologist. So now we are going to call Children's Hospital in the morning. Most likely, we will go down for an EKG and hopefully, an echocardiogram.

Update: We did talk with the Heart Triage Nurse at Children's Hospital who said that she was going to talk with our cardiologist. Mommy's not worried. And since he didn't rush to call back today, they aren't either. It was just a very scary event. But to be safe, we are seeing our pediatrician on Monday.

We have a BIG day planned on Wednesday! We are going to the Seattle Aquarium with Down syndrome Outreach! I've even learned how to sign "Swim" and "Fish" for this event. Joining us for the occasion will by my Grandma (yipee!!) and our "adopted" auntie, Justine. Jonah and I are so excited that we pooped our diapers. Oh. Mommy says we always do that. But this trip will be lots of fun and we promise pictures!

Dylan, I'm sending hugs and prayers that you will get good results at Children's. I hope that was just a one time event for you and your family. Have a great time Wednesday and I can't wait to see pictures.
Hugs,

P.S. Kristy I hope you are feeling better.
