So the procedure that Daddy had done yesterday turned out to be a piece of cake. Okay....maybe not a piece of cake but a sour grape. You take a bite, swallow, and voila! It's done.
Mommy was in the room with Daddy as he laid on a table face-down. They ran an x-ray machine and the doctor numbed the area. Using the x-ray, the located the trouble spot and then injected a dye. When it was confirmed that the dye was where it should be, in went the medicine. It was fast and relatively painless. In fact, it went so quickly that they took advantage of having a baby sitter and went out to dinner afterwards. It was really that quick. Daddy's only complaint was that he felt a little stiff but by the end of the night, he said he didn't feel any pain. The doctors made this out to be a much bigger deal that it really was.
We're not really sure why all the precautions...like no eating before the shot, don't drive...etc. Daddy was fine. No laughing gas was used, nothing really at all. Just a numbing agent and the shot. Simple. They must not be used to "REAL MEN" who can take a tiny poke. My Daddy's tough. Those silly doctors made us worry. We'll see how this works. They say the medicine will last for 3-4 weeks. If Daddy feels good after that, no more shots. Otherwise, he goes in for another one next month.
Thanks for all of your support and prayers. We appreciate it.

Outstanding! After carrying a twin pregancy, I needed to get one of these shots last April. It felt wonderful afterward. It has worn off though so back I go for another one on the 29th of this month. Hopefully this time it will last longer. Mine is at the s1 area. Good job Ray! Hope the relief lasts awhile.
Kristy, Nate and I will see you on Monday. Take care!
WTG Ray !! Glad everything went well.

Glad to know he's feeling better and that you got a chance to take advantage of the time and spend some time alone "Together"
