Great Harvest Bread-y Bear Interview
Today was pretty exciting. We drove down to Seattle first thing this morning and had our interview for the Bread-y Bear Campaign by the Great Harvest Bread Company. The interview took place at Children's Hospital and will be broadcast by KOMO TV. We had a wonderfully sweet reporter, Jenni Hogan, who was very kind and patient with us as she helped Mommy and Daddy put on our mikes. Then she was very gracious asking questions and loved watching me and Jonah play with all the cool toys around Children's Hospital. Our favorite cardiologist, Joel, also got interviewed to tell about how wonderful Children's is and about the special bond our two families have. Joel also has a little boy my age who also has Downs. His name is Dylan too!
Thank you Jenni, Mr. Nice Cameraman, Kira from Children's Hospital, and KOMO for helping promote the Bread-y Bear Campaign. And a special thanks to Great Harvest Bread for offering their time and services for such a good cause. For those who don't know what this is, the Great Harvest Bread Company is making Bears out of bread. Then each bear is named by a child at children's hospital and then sold at their bakeries. All the proceeds for these bears go directly to Children's Hospital's uncompensated care fund. This campaign is currently running through the rest of September. I even got to name a bear. I named him "Ed-grrrrr" after my favorited baseball player.
Thanks again, Jenni, Mr. Nice Cameraman, KOMO, and Great Harvest Bread. We really do appreciate what you are doing for so many kiddos!
